About A.S.P.A.

Associated Students Performing Arts & Lectures is an events production program funded by the Associated Students of San Francisco State University, and financed by ticket revenue and student fees. It is managed by a professional staff, with key positions held by SFSU students. ASPA's mission is to provide a wide and culturally diverse variety of events, both entertaining and culturally enriching, for the SFSU student body and Bay Area public. We strive to keep admission costs as low as possible for students and seniors.

Bookings

In booking music we strive to present a variety of styles, as suits the diversity of our student body. We have somewhat of a leaning towards local and independent artists, and roots and indigenous styles.  For updates or further information, call 415-338-2444. We do not produce theatrical events or classical music performance; for those, please contact the SFSU School of Creative Arts    Bands may want to contact The Depot (415-338-1310) a coffeehouse in the Student Center, which presents live music on a weekly basis.

Corporate Promotions:

In general, we are very leery of corporate promotions on-campus, and generally do not consider them of service to our student body.  This is not to say that we never do them.  We often present 35mm film sneak previews, which are free to the students, and include a limited corporate presence.  If you wish to promote your products to the S.F.S.U. student body (approximately 28,000 students), please be prepared to pay those students for the privilege, with something more substantial than T-shirts, or provide a service beyond contributing to the students' future indebtedness.
